Yesterday afternoon, my partner and I were married by a duly authorized representative of Alameda County, and issued a valid marriage license by the State of California, including its pretty raised seal. The 2008 Golden Crown Literary Society conference is over and time never flew by so quickly for me before. There were so many moments of revelry and sisterhood, it’s impossible to capture them all. GCLS 2008 – Let’s Go to Phoenix!

It’s the only by-lesbians, about-lesbian-fiction event of its kind.
And it’s my favorite literary event of the year. The organizers have selected a beautiful resort with rooms costing no more than the last two years, and one of my sheroes, Katherine Forrest, is the keynote speaker.
