This week is Thanksgiving here in the United States, a national holiday I’ve always felt was a celebration of food, family and friendship. It’s also a day to be especially thankful for what gifts life has brought.
Feelin’ Better Every Day
After the outcome of Proposition 8 it was hard not to go back to not hoping. What was hardest was that for months after the Supreme Court ruling I thought Prop 8 would pass and that it was another useless exercise. As the election approached, and so much change was in the air, I thought it wouldn’t pass — I hoped. And was disappointed one more time.
Hope and Despair
It would be nice if there was any recognition from straight America that they know how we feel to have had equality dangled in front of us, only to be taken away via Proposition 8 by our enemies – and our allies.
