Something about Sondheim
It was my intention to write about the release of Christabel this week, but while attending a production of Side by Side by Sondheim something unusual happened. During the song “I Remember Sky,” I was lulled by the simple subtlety of Sondheim’s words and music. After a round of edits, and the occasional pause to tingle, In Deep Waters 2: Cruising the Strip has returned to the tender mercies of the editor where it will go on its way into the production process at Bold Strokes Books. Change in Outlook
This is hardly on the topic of writing, but it does involve some heavy thinking about words. For the first time I’m using Outlook for e-mail. To my surprise, I discovered that AOL’s spam filters really do work. Outlook seems to stop most of the ones about real estate, diet drugs, and my private opportunities to help smuggle $100,00,0000 HUNRED MILION DOLARS (sic) out of somewhere in Africa. Read More
