Friends. Colleagues. Readers. Comrades in arms. That means so much laughter and joy – because they’re not taking that away from us.
I’m going to be busy doing more than signing books with a lot of (consensual) hugging. I’ll also be talking and even trying, occasionally, to make a useful point or two. So here’s the run down.

Saturday, July 19
- Author Signing: I am happy to sign anything not X-rated. If it’s a book, it’s best to make it one of mine because the other authors make frowny faces when I sign theirs. Also, no library books because I really don’t want any trouble with librarians. Yes, you can bring all your books from home! Hudson Ballroom.
- Awards Night: It will be my absolute honor to present the Lee Lynch Classic Award to Trash by the late Dorothy Allison. It changed my writing as a lesbian author. It changed my life as it set me on the essential path of examining the whys of lies told about certain people by people not them. Great River Ballroom.

Not About Books – Do You PoGo?
A small group of GCLS attendees are avid Pokemon Go players, including yours truly. Feel free to flash me your QR code to become player friends. I’ll be happy to point you toward other players in the crowd. We arrive from all over the world with critters to trade.
Want to Be Super Organized?
Head to the GCLS Hub and Join the Event: Albany 2025 Interactive Schedule. Once you do that you can choose which sessions you are definitely attending, and which ones are your maybes. If you get the Mighty Networks app from your mobile’s app store, you can Join the existing Golden Crown network, pick your sessions, and set up notifications to ping your device. If I remember correctly, the notifications arrive about 5 minutes early and sound again once the session begins.
Haven’t Gone to GCLSCon Before and Want to Know More?
Read all about it! It’s my favorite event every year – a family reunion and meeting new people festival of joy for sapphic books and all the people who love them.
