Painted Moon is a variety of rose seen at Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island.

The turkey cookery in Painted Moon is entirely the result of Karin watching her mother and grandmother cook for the holidays. Years later, she does have a Turkey Brine recipe to share, stolen adapted from Alice Waters and Alton Brown.
