GCLS Writing Academy

Karin Kallmaker Resources

With a few rare exceptions, writers do not spring from fully formed from the forehead of Jane Austen. It takes work, practice, fortitude and luck.

The Golden Crown Literary Society opened the Writing Academy for writers who want to improve their craft. The Academy focuses on writing for and about lesbians. Practical aspects of the writing life are also explored.

Scholarships, funded by GCLS members and donors, may be available.

From the GCLS site:

The GCLS Writing Academy is a year long intensive program for new or relatively new writers who have at least part of a novel written and who want to learn the critical components of quality writing, plus various related topics such as researching your novel, the writer’s life, and the path to getting published.
